CLASP supports carers aged 18 and above who live in Leicester, Leics. and Rutland.
List of Support Services:
• Advocacy/support/representation at assessments, reviews and other meetings with professionals
• General Information/advice on carers issues, services available, etc.
• Information/advice/support with welfare rights, inc. help completing forms
• Counselling
• Training and information sessions e.g. moving and handling, accessing services, stress awareness, first aid
• Establish and support local carer support groups
• Link into carer support forums
• Free regular newsletter
• Tuesdays open morning sessions 9.30 am–12.30 pm
• Home visits offered
• Access (wheelchair users need assistance with doors and lift)
• Gugarati, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu spoken
The Centre is open Monday–Friday 9 am–4 pm and there is a 24 hour answering service. The Centre is closed on the last Wednesday morning of each month for staff development. |
