Next Generation provides a service to disaffected young people that is unique within the Hinckley & Bosworth area. The work of the project particulary targets those young people between the ages of 13-25 yrs who are at risk, vulnerable or considered as disaffected from mainstream society. Next Generation offers a variety of emotional and practical support that empowers young people to make decisions, enabling them to progress towards independent living and a positive quality of life.
The Next Generation project offers information, support and guidance to young people and is open Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm. The services offered are Homelessness & Resettlement Advice, speaialist Young People's Counselling, specialist Drug & Alcohol services, Employment & Training services and free Pregnancy testing/Sexual Health advice.
For those young people in rural areas who cannot access the building the project operates the '637' mobile outreach double decker bus. The '637' delivers youth issue based sessions, and is fully resourced with educational materials. The bus also has a range of sports equipment an x-box, TV and music to enable young people to have fun and meet new friends. |
