The Leicestershire Association of Boys' Clubs (registered charity 521445) was formed in 1951 as a need for such an organisation working with boys and young men had become apparent. In 1993 we changed our name and continued the work to the objectives of the Association, which are to "promote the mental, physical, spiritual and social well being of boys and girls and especially those less advantaged…."

What we do
• Offer a club support service to affiliated groups
• Provide training to adults and young people
• Organise sports, physical and creative activities
• Work with agencies and partnerships relating to the Youth Service
• Encourage clubs to work towards a quality mark

The Government published the Every Child Matters report based on five youth work outcomes.

• To be healthy
• To stay safe
• To enjoy and achieve
• To make a positive contribution
• To achieve economic well-being

We can be proud of the work we undertake as many of our programmes encompass the five outcomes and we will have the infra-structure in place to continue to develop the Association.
